After earning his undergraduate degree at BYU in Exercise Science with a double major in Anthropology, Dr. Jared Lee received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA.
Dr. Lee spent three years as a postdoctoral clinical fellow at Columbia University in New York City where he received a Master’s degree in Orthodontics. He served as the postdoctoral representative of the College’s ethics committee.
Santa Paula Braces
Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. The components work together to apply gentle pressure, which through regular adjustments with our doctors, will gradually move the teeth into their desired positions. The components are metal or ceramic brackets attached to the teeth and connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.

Overall treatment time can be slightly reduced because traditional braces sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth that other options might. Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material that fits snugly over the patient’s teeth. The trays are virtually invisible and are usually switched out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series to keep teeth moving in the right direction! Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed might not see the results they want and can also add time to the orthodontic process. Aligners must be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment in order for them to do their job.
