Getting started on a straighter smile
Your experience as our new patient will begin with a friendly welcome from our team and a quick tour of the office. Following this, we’ll collect a bit of information from you, including your medical and dental history, then take a few photos and x-rays of your face and teeth. This information, along with a thorough oral examination by Dr. Lee, allows us to evaluate the bone health, structure, and position of your teeth. These are your diagnostic records, and our expert team will use them to form a proper diagnosis and offer you the most appropriate treatment type.
Because orthodontic treatment is a substantial investment of your time and finances, we never want you to feel like you’re being rushed or that you’re left with unanswered questions. It’s important to us that you understand each step of the treatment process as it’s happening!
Once your examination with Dr. Lee is complete, we’ll go over:

As your first visit concludes, we’ll schedule an appointment for you to receive your new orthodontic appliance. Depending on your treatment plan and the type of appliance you’ll be using, you can expect follow-up appointments in our one of our offices every 6-12 weeks or so. At these appointments, Dr. Lee will make any adjustments necessary, and will also check that your treatment is on target.
These visits are a very important part of your orthodontic treatment, so it’s critical that you don’t miss them. However, we’re human too, and understand that sometimes life gets in the way of our plans! We do our best to make sure appointments are scheduled for a day and time that’s convenient for you, but we know that you may unexpectedly find yourself running late or needing to cancel an appointment. If this happens, we only ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment. This will keep your treatment plan progressing as it should be.
