What is involved in Santa Paula Invisalign treatment?

The Invisalign clear aligner system aligns teeth and improves oral health by using a series of clear, removable aligners. We’ll use X-rays and digital impression to create a precise 3D image of your teeth at your initial consultation. We’ll use the information we gather to build an aligner system with that is customized to your unique smile. The trays are constructed of a smooth, comfortable material that fits firmly yet comfortably over your teeth. These trays are designed to be switched out every 1-2 weeks to keep up with the teeth as they move into their desired new positions. When used as directed, Invisalign has been proven to be just as effective as traditional braces at treating many of the most common orthodontic issues.

Benefits of Choosing Santa Paula Invisalign

Invisalign aligners offer a convenient and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional braces, making them an excellent choice for those seeking a more discreet orthodontic treatment. They offer several great benefits to consider.

Invisibility

One of the standout features of Invisalign aligners is their near-invisible appearance. Made from clear plastic, they are discreet and blend seamlessly with your teeth, making it possible for you to straighten your teeth without the noticeable brackets and wires of traditional braces.

Removability for Eating and Drinking

Invisalign aligners are designed to be removed when eating and drinking. This means you don’t have to worry about food getting stuck in brackets or wires, and you can continue to enjoy all your favorite foods without restrictions.

Ease of Oral Hygiene

Maintaining oral hygiene is simpler with Invisalign. Since the aligners are removable, you can take them out before brushing and flossing. This makes it much easier to clean your teeth thoroughly, which is crucial for orthodontic patients.

Comfort and No Irritation

Invisalign aligners are smooth and comfortable to wear. There are no wires that could poke out and irritate the inside of your mouth, making the treatment experience more pleasant.

No Adjustment Appointments

Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign doesn’t require adjustment appointments. However, regular follow-up visits every 6-8 weeks are still necessary to ensure that the treatment is progressing as planned.

Prevents Staining

By removing your aligners before meals, you prevent staining and keep them clean. It’s also recommended to rinse and clean the aligners with warm water at least once or twice a day to maintain their clarity.

Monitored Progress

Regular visits to Dr. Jared Lee ensure that your treatment is on track and allows for any necessary modifications to be made in a timely manner.

How does the Santa Paula Invisalign system work?

The Invisalign system is pretty straightforward. You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks, and you should only remove them to eat drink, brush, or floss. As the aligners are replaced with the next one in the series, your teeth will move gradually, until they reach their final desired positions.

During visits with Santa Paula Orthodontics, we’ll check regularly to make sure that your treatment to going according to plan. You have to keep up with changing the aligners on time and must also wear them as directed. This is the most critical element to success with your Santa Paula Invisalign! Your trays will be custom designed to fit your unique dental needs and will need to be changed frequently in order to keep up with the shifting of the teeth as they begin to straighten. Skipping your appointments or not changing aligners as scheduled can quickly undo any progress that’s been made.

It’s important to remember that every patient will respond to orthodontic treatment in their own way. The way Invisalign straightens your teeth is different and less invasive than braces do, so it can be hard to say with certainty how long a patient will need to wear them before seeing results. Though the average tends to be somewhere between 6 and 18 months, this can vary widely from case to case and depends a great deal on patient compliance.

The average treatment time is calculated based on patients following the recommended guidelines by wearing their aligners at least 20-22 hours every single day, throughout the course of treatment. Any deviation from this, however small, can add extra time to the overall process. Invisalign can only work if you follow directions and the plan we have agreed on.
